Reading and literacy at Tarremah

The Tasmanian Premier’s Reading Challenge takes place in terms 2 and 3 for Classes 3 to 6. The challenge is to read any ten fiction or non-fiction books in ten weeks.  TASREADER

National Simultaneous Story time takes place in May each year – Everywhere, all over Australia, children gather for the same story, on the same day, at the same time!

The ILF works to provide access to books and literacy resources to remote Indigenous communities in Australia. All money raised in Book Week at Tarremah goes to support the ILF.  ILF

Children’s Book Council of Australia (Tasmanian branch) organises an annual competition known as Readers’ Cup. Tarremah usually enters two teams each year.
